GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Risk Intelligence Analyst is responsible for identifying and analyzing risk to aspects of the company’s global operations, particularly those associated with corporate security, executive and brand protections. The Risk Intelligence Analyst (RIA) will develop, draft, and disseminate timely intelligence products and will coordinate processes for
identifying, assessing, and communicating potential safety risks. Support includes developing tailored briefings, coordinating watch priorities with an organization’s GSOC, preparing ad hoc risk assessments, conducting threat investigations, completing event risk assessments, conducting geospatial analyses, and creating information papers for
delivery to a variety of stakeholder groups.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Continuously reviews developing information to identify safety and security risks to executives, staff, guests, and owner-operators, completing concise, high-quality, and timely analyses of emerging threats.
  • Conducts all-hazards risk and threat assessments and analyzes complex geopolitical trends and events with potential impact on executive, staff, and guest safety.
  • Provides in-depth advisories and situation reports focused on the potential impact to the company and its ability to conduct business during an incident.
  • Researches, collects, and analyzes physical security threat information from all available sources (OSINT, vendor platforms, internal databases, professional networks, etc.).
  • Develops and maintains close partnerships with industry peers and law enforcement intelligence units to facilitate information sharing and data collection.
  • Supports cross-functional intelligence efforts (protective intelligence, geopolitical risk intelligence, criminal intelligence, etc.), as assigned.
  • Collaborates with other stakeholder staff members, contingent workers, and vendors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A. EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Field of study in one or more of the following: International Relations, Political Economy, Economics, Development, Criminology, Political Science, or other related fields is preferred.
  • Certification in Crime or Intelligence Analysis is preferred.

B. EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.

C. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & COMPETENCY

  • Excellent writing skills, as demonstrated in a writing sample.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong familiarity with risk intelligence platforms and databases.
  • Ability to concisely communicate technical and security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical partners.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and follow through to resolution. 
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Experience with data collection and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of structured analytic techniques and a thorough understanding of the intelligence cycle and architecture, including planning, collection, assessment, dissemination, and revision.
  • Experience in open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection, analysis, and/or production with major law enforcement or intelligence agencies, international intergovernmental organizations, corporate global security, academia, or non-governmental organizations.
  • Ability to work with OSINT resources and tools and extract data from open sources.
  • Proficiency in using data visualization and/or GIS to map and monitor events that may impact business operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of developing PowerPoint presentations and briefings for various audiences.

D. OTHER

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug and background screening.

E. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Job duties are performed in an office setting. The role requires intermittent physical activity, including, but not limited to, walking, standing, sitting, and light lifting.
